The batteries from Walmart cost a lot less than the ones from my local auto parts store. I bought my last car battery from Walmart and it lasted for about seven years. When it finally needed to be replaced, I went back to Walmart for my next one. I also have an eighty-year-old mother who lives two hours away from me, in Wisconsin, where it gets very cold in the winter. I replaced the battery in her van with one from Walmart, and we have never had any trouble with it. I do have one caution, though: I recommend that you do NOT order the battery through the website and pick it up from the store. Go into the store and buy one off the shelf. When you buy it through the website, they don't split the core deposit into a separate charge on your receipt. Then, when you take the old battery back to them to get the deposit back, they will give you trouble about it. This seems to be a flaw in their system. I wasted a lot of time over it.

I checked prices at several different stores before buying this battery, comparing the warranty and the cranking amps and I went with this one because it had the best price. It is a great battery. I expect it to last longer than the warranty, since it is such a good quality battery! No regrets! I did pick this up at the store in the online order pickup at a store that does not have an auto center, so the core charge was a bit of an issue when I returned the old battery to the store. They said that because they don't have an auto center, the core charge was not showing up as refundable in their system. But they found a way around the problem, eventually, after burning up my lunch period. They gave me a gift card for the amount of the core charge and took the old battery. That part was a hassle and a half but it was only because that store didn't have an auto center.
