This pen runs very well. Yes it does not come with ink you would have to buy it separately which is ok they are mostly cheap depending on brand. I do recommend getting a pipet so you can cleanly put the ink in or you can use it as a dipping pen. For a very good price it's not a bad pen at all! Hope this helps!

You can't beat the value for the price. The nib is slightly scratchy, but nothing that a little nib adjustment won't take care of. The cap does not screw on or have a magnetic connection. It simply snaps on, and the effort to uncap is a bit more than it should be. I'm also not sure if it makes a great seal, which would make the ink dry out quicker between longer times of no use.
