Athletic Works PVC Yoga Mat, 3mm, Dark Gray, 68inx24in, Nonslip, Cushioning for Support and Stability

When I first unwrapped the Athletic Works yoga mat I was a bit skeptical since it was a thinner mat than the one I use at the gym. One of the edges of the mat was curled but I put a damp cloth underneath the corner and placed a book on top and a few hours later it was fine. I never had the problem again after rolling and unrolling the mat daily. I took it to the gym and was happy that I had my own mat and did not have to worry about cleanliness of gym mats. Yes, it was indeed thinner than the gym mats which I thought would be an issue. I was wrong. The Athletic Works mat stuck to the carpet and did not slip. I felt very stable the entire time. I thought I would lose some cushy feel that the thicker mat provided but this mat was very comfortable. I no longer had to worry about sliding around on the mats as I did on the thicker cushier ones I used before. I felt totally stable in all the yoga positions. Also, a big plus is how lightweight it is. I never wanted my own mat because I did not want another thing to lug into the gym but this mat is so lightweight, it is not a big deal to add it to my gym bag. I also used it on my tile floor at home and it is stable and sticks well to the tile as well as the carpet. I normally like bright colors for exercise equipment. However, I think my feet are generally clean, I have seen light colored mats looking pretty dingy and dirty looking. This Athletic Works mat is dark gray and so I so I don't think wear and tear and spots of dirt will be as apparent. I learned quickly that thicker and brighter is not always better!

This yoga mat is soft, textured so it doesn't slip and super lightweight. It is perfect for travel and on-the-go! This is a thin mat at 3 mm so it works great for a nonslip surface. It is made from 100% PVC foam. Mat measures 68 inches by 24 inches. I like the fact that it is easy to store when not in use!
