IT HAS POCKETS!!

My husband is xl but wanted a little extra space in these pajama shorts and to have some slack in case they shrink in the dryer, which they didn't. I'm much more excited about the pockets than he was. He was more excited about the drawstring. The material is super soft and he was cool and comfortable all night in this unbearable Florida heat and humidity. 10 out of 10!!
