Yale Keypad Lever Lock, Satin Nickel

This is a Yale lock, so I expected a sturdy mechanically sound product, and that's what I got. This is the least expensive lock in the series, and it does exactly what I wanted, and nothing I didn't want. It has a key override if the electronics fail or the batteries die. The primary feature I needed was a lock that locks itself once unlocked, and that's what it does, regardless of how it was unlocked. It can be set to lock between 30 seconds and 3 minutes. The instructions are extremely well done, making the installation easy to get right the first time. Programming was not hard if you follow the instructions. A little expensive, but it's a Yale, not some Chinese knockoff. Depends how important security is.

This was easy to install, looks to be well made and was also easy to program. My only issue with it is that I would like to see a feature to enable the button lights to be activated somehow. In a dark doorway, if I hit the wrong button first, then I have to cancel the entry and start again: no biggie, except that the back-light immediately goes out, leaving me guessing where to press the correct button again.....
