However the table will be up and open so I don't foresee the “locking” being an issue since it will be up. Very happy and may need to just purchase another one.

It's well made. Something odd about it is if and when two people try to pick up the table (to move it) when standing at the far ends of the table, the table sort of bows downward. It appears that the design of the table is not conducive to it being picked up that way. But the construction of the table is otherwise very good.
