Great jeans but a little inconsistent

I got 2 pairs, same size but different colors. I like both of them- flattering fit and nice feeling material. But the length of the legs is different by a couple inches and one is looser on me than the other. I was excited to find long-length pants based on the model pictures, and they're not 'ankle jeans' thank god, but they aren't as long as they appear in some of the pictures. The model must be really short.
