wireless charging does not work

I got my new Iphone 14 pro Max and this case. I bought this specific case for two reasons. The first, it is rated high for protection from accidental drops. Some reviews rate this the highest as it supports a fall from 20ft which is impressive. The second reason I bought this case is for its wireless charging capability. I am very disappointed to share that this does not charge wirelessly with the case on. I had to remove the case for the wireless charging to work. This defeats the purpose entirely. My wife's iphone 13 charges like a charm with her case ON in the same wireless charger.
