About this item

Product details

The Moen Posi-Temp Rough-In Shower Valve is the brass valve body that sits behind the wall and does the real work in a tub or shower. Posi-Temp pressure balancing helps hold your water temperature steady when a toilet flushes or a washing machine fills elsewhere in the home, so the shower does not suddenly run hot or cold. That matters most for children and older adults, who are least able to react quickly to a sudden temperature swing. Four ports suit a cycling tub and shower set up, and the valve uses 1/2-inch CC connections with the 1222 cartridge. Quarter turn stops let you isolate the valve for service without shutting off the whole house, an adjustable temperature limit stop caps the maximum setting, and the valve meets ASSE performance requirements. Built on the Moen M-PACT common valve system, the visible trim can be changed years later without opening the wall. Trim is sold separately. Backed by Moen's Limited Lifetime Warranty and decades of American innovation.
