It works!!!

We bought these collars for both of our large bread dogs. We dreaded walking them because they basically were walking use and dragging us. Last night, we put the collars on and went for a walk. It was so much better. I told my husband I could not wait to write a review, but he told me to wait until we tried again. Tonight we walked them again. They are so well behaved. The walks are like night and day. I already told one of our friends about it. I will be telling others that are going through the same problem. We are so grateful for this remedy.

Amazing transformation!!!

I'm adopted a puppy who has really been excited on our walks- and because I live in a city (and don't have my own outdoor space) - I have to walk him 3-5 times a day. Within the first 6weeks - I injured my shoulder, foot and fingers from him pulling so much and having very little control - despite training him diligently. He also stops from almost every dog. We would come home from most walks with him coughing from all the tugging on his trachea. I also started dreading our walks because my body is suffering and it is just unpleasant to walk him. I purchased the gentle leader yesterday and have seen dramatic improvement! I'm in awe and truly grateful for this product. I'm actually looking forward for of our morning walk tomorrow!

This works only for those dogs that are willing to submit to a head collar, not all dogs will be alright with it so make sure you understand what type of dog you have. If it's forced on the dog, it will be traumatic and destructive to the dog. For those dogs that do tolerate it well, it's an excellent product that helps with boundaries on walks and other activities. I had one dog do really well with it and another one that simply hated it.

Though each dog is an individual and some may need other tools, it is worth mentioning that even dogs who are unsure at first can often become comfortable with head collars with very gradual acclimation steps. This can include first taking several training sessions to offer treats only for placing their nose willingly through the nose loop without ever trying to fully place the head collar on, moving to placing the head collar on and immediately removing it, next placing it on only for a few minutes before removing it, etc. Moving in very gradual steps at your dog's pace will often help them acclimate. If your dog is still unsure after trying very gradual steps, we do have other pull reducing options that could be a good fit and we'd be happy to discuss those with you.
