Sony MDR-MV1 Open Back Reference Monitor Headphones Black

Maybe these aren't the best for mixing because they do have a nice level of sub bass and low end and don't have the usual fully flat response you get from wired studio headphones for mixing, but as far as sound quality, detail, and ability to enjoy music listening these are fantastic. They are accurate but with lots of bass and a nice wide soundstage. if you enjoy a little extra low end in a wired open back especially at only 350 these are fantastic. They are so light and comfortable and sound amazing out of the box. Really enjoying listening to these. To me they are better sounding then their more expensive flagship x series BT headphones with ANC if youre looking for a Sony headphone for enjoying music at home and are less concerned with ANC and their portabilty due to closed back design and BT, these things are awesome. More accuracy across the spectrum and fuller sounding bass without a closed back. If you like Sony sound profile but want a less processed sound and don't mind a wired open back these are the best value for your money if you can get them for under 400 bucks. Awesome cans that definitely sound great and are very comfortable. They're awesome and super light. Only drawback is no storage case but are designed for home studio spatial mixing and would probably be decent production headphones if you just EQ some of the low end down because they have incredible low end for an open back. Could be a benefit of you're trying to hear the low end and sub bass better for reference in the studio. Would definitely recommend at 350. haven't even tested them with a spatial format yet but the stereo soundstage in itself is great.
