I have an 11-month-old border collie pup. Since he grew into his energy levels at about 6 months, it was impossible to keep up with him. No matter what I tried, I could NOT wear him out without completely tuckering myself out, and he still wasn't worn out enough not to be a bit of a pitb. I was actually starting to regret getting him, but I'm stubborn, and I adore the little fella', so I just kept trying. February 1st, 2025, I got one of these ball launchers, which I paired with the Chuckit! Max Glow ball I'd gotten prior. The clouds parted and the angels sang, I swear! For the very first time, he wound up tired enough to sack out for a while and I wasn't feeling like an old lady in desperate need of a nap! After his first play session with this thing, his whole attitude started to change. After 3 days, he was like a whole new, well-exercised and FAR less naughty dog! He's able to focus so much better during training sessions, listens, makes better choices of his own accord and is SO much more well-behaved in general, and he can finally settle down enough for cuddles. I no longer feel like I'm hopelessly in over my head with this little guy. Absolutely amazing all around! The one and only drawback is that I occasionally accidentally launch the ball clean over the fence, so word to the wise: Make sure you've got a good, safe 400' area to use this in. I'm on an acre, and still underestimate how far from the fence I need to be sometimes (especially with the awesome bounce of the Max Glow ball which, btw, glows VERY brightly once it's been under bright light a few minutes. Get one to go with it. It's wonderful for playing fetch day or night!). Had I any idea what a difference this ball launcher would make for both of us, I'd have gotten it much sooner. If you have a high-energy dog/pup, do yourself a favor and get one immediately, along with one of the wonderfully bouncy ChuckIt! Max Glow balls (which do only last a month or so, but they're really worth the cost of continually replacing them). You absolutely will not regret it! No need to thank me later, but you'll want to!
