I've yet to buy a Melissa and Doug product that's not of high quality. Some things can seem a little pricey when compared to other brands of what seems to be the same product but I'd almost guarantee that other brand is not going to stand the test of time with multiple grandkids. The colors don't fade or get worn or frayed sides by being pushed around by little one making several attempts to fit the pieces together. I'd recommend this to everyone.
