These denim shorts are very comfortable to wear. I feel like they may run slightly larger but not enough for me to go down a size. I wear a medium and weight 142 lbs. and I'm 5'5'. They are short but not too short. My butt does not hang out even when I bend over there is plenty of material to keep me covered. I have an iPhone 15 pro and it fits in the back pocket but I feel like it's going to fall out so I do not use the back pockets to hold my phone. The front pockets however are very deep. Overall I love the shorts and would buy them again.

I am 128lbs 5'5” and the small fits amazing. If you are between 120lbs or less, I feel small would be too big. Depending on brand I range between 4-8. My only reason for 4 stars on quality is that where the “distressed” areas are - it can rip if you were to put your hands into your pockets too fast or not with intention to not affect the distressed area.
