just got rid of a cheap one with a plastic lid. The seat also slid sideways back and forth. Hated it. It was from a previous owner. Got this wooden seat%26lid and presto, not more problems. It's sturdy enough to stand up on (if you want?) but just a nice regular sturdy wooden lid at a really affordable price!

Ridiculously easy to install!! Literally took me longer to remove the old seat. I'm only holding off a star on value and quality until I see how long this seat lasts. I've tried different brands over the last few years and they all seem to crack within a year or two. It seems like I used to never have to replace a toilet seat unless the enamel wore off or it got scratched or stained. Now they seem to break easily. Hoping this one will actually last.
