I purchase this product because the elastic is covered by the cotton material at the waist and legs. I have skin issues when elastic has direct contact with my skin. I purchased 12 pairs of these high-quality Fruit of the Loom, Cotton Hi-Cuts for a wonderful, comfortable fit and love the waistband - no raw edge elastic sewed onto the underpanties - instead it is a cotton waistband with the elastic inside so it is soft for tender skin. I love my new panties from Fruit of the Loom and will be buying more. P.S.: they do not shrink; but remember, as always with any lingerie - dry on low, not hot.
