Helm chair is constructed with thick wall rotational molded plastic frame with pre-mounted plastic injection molded mounting plate with T-Nut inserts. Snap on and off cushions have high compression foam padding with mesh underlay to expel moisture. Marine Grade vinyl with heavy duty welting, embossed vinyl surface and embroidered logo. Pedestal features polished cast aluminum 9" base plate with recessed knurled mounting holes. 2 7/8" diameter thick wall extruded aluminum post. Works perfect for my little 17 foot runabout. It didn't come with screws to fix to the floor but it was very easy to instal once I bought them. The description says the height adjusts but the one I received does not. It swivels and slides front to back only. Overall I am very pleased with chair.
