Avalon Self Cleaning Bottleless Water Cooler Dispenser 3 Temperatures

Setup was very straight forward, the cooler includes the required hose and T fitting to connect it to a sink or other water source. The cooler also comes with an adapter to run a second filter (second filter not provided). Filters for this machine arent cheap and according to the instructions supposed to be replaced every 6 months or when water flow is restricted. The machine also has a self clean function which is nice, but its not automatic, you must turn it on and takes 90min to complete. Changing filters and using the self clean function shouldn't be needed as much for personal use than in a high traffic office or business. The hot water function is great for quick hot coco, tea and etc but is alittle too hot 185F. The cold water is just right and great for refilling water bottles since its cold and pre filtered. for some reason the room temperature function comes out very slow, it takes twice as long to fill up a cup than the hot and cold. The stainless finish on the cooler doesnt seem to match the rest of my stainless appliances which are more of a matte stainless finish but not a big deal. Other than the room temperature water flow being very slow i use this every day and its very handy.

Ok so I am writing this review on the Avalon self cleaning bottleless water cooler dispenser. First I would like to mention, you have to hook up a permanent water line to this unit. I had to pay a plumber to come and install this in my home, as I did not have a water line hook up anywhere in my house for a unit like this. Once it was installed we have found that we like it very much. We are a family of five and use this a lot. It did leak at first from one of the fittings inside. But I was able to tighten it and get it to stop leaking. I also found the drip tray to be difficult to remove. It took using something to pry it and get it started. And I do wish the water was a little colder. I love that it has the three temperature options. And the unit is very quiet. I also like the night light feature. I get up and get water a few times a night. So it's nice to not have to turn a light on. I also like that you have separate switches for control of the night light and the hot and cold options. They are located on the back top corner. I included a picture. I love the stainless steel design. It is very nice looking. And the hot water has a safety feature for children. It has a knob in the center of the hot button that you have to push down and slide sideways before it will let the main button be depressed. The replaceable filters is nice, but the filters are a little expensive. Hoping they last awhile between changes. All in all I would recommend this to anyone looking to replace a bottle cooler system.
