Great size. Cuts through card stock easily. I wanted a better cutter for my chipboard, and it's good enough. I just have to cut it quicker, not slower. It is made of partical board or MDF but better than plastic for tougher material. I did read that it depends on the blade, it's a pretty study sharp blade and does lock securely. I'm happy that I bought it.
