Great CPU, basically on par with the Ryzen 9 9900X3D for about half the price. Only benefit you would get from the newer version is more cores. For gaming however, 8 cores is plenty. Most games will not use the full cores of the 9900X3D. Its more for video editing, video encoding.

Great Bang for the Buck

AMD has a lot to choose from but after many hours of research this CPU is the most bang for your buck and performs super stable ! It's the most compatible paired with AM5 Motherboards. Specifically with B850 chipsets. It runs at cool temps with pretty much any air cooler under gaming loads. I recommend a discreet GPU and disable the IGP settings in the Bios. Unless you have a high end GPU disable the X3D mode as well. Works well with Gen 4 GPUs and Gen 4 M.2s. Always do your own research prior to choosing any CPU but this is a great $350-$400 option.
