My girl dog was between a 16 and 17 so I got her a 3X it fits her good but I probably could have went with the 2x because it goes right down a little bit over her tail, I think if she was a boy it would have been too big and the material would have gotten peed on. The Velcro is really really strong, the material is nice, I like it has a pocket, I could put her treats in it and it has a place where I can hook her leash onto. A very good product. I'm going to buy a little one when they come back in stock for my boy Chihuahua. I highly recommend the product.

The coat fits well, water proof and it stays on. The only thing I don't like is the amount of velcro on the closure. I have Mini Aussies with longer hair and it gets in the velcro closure. My suggestion would be strips instead of the 2" x4" pieces of velcro. The dogs like them.
