2060 Super versus 1660 Super

Purchased a 2060 Super and 1660 Super, both physically appear identical, however 1660 does not require higher power supply and is 100 cheaper, but does basically the same to include same 6GB Video DDR6 RAM. 3000 series is coming soon and is supposed to be 1/2 cost of 2080 / 2070... To be seen. Longest wait was for 6 pin to 8 pin adapter, it was coming from Anaheim, which is about 150 miles away, but took over a week. Check your power supply, you may already have a 8 pin. Drivers were downloaded without issue, however it will change some things, like speakers to the monitor, versus external, which you just set back. You may also need to change the monitor set up, primary versus secondary. with switchover to HDMI. New monitor usually come with DVI or VGA cables but not the HDMI.

Excellent Upgrade from Failing NVidia GTX 980 Ti

After five years, the NVidia GTX 980 Ti in my computer started failing from GPU temperature spikes soon after the card was engaged -- apparently the onboard cooling system was no longer working properly. The GeForce RTX 2060 has been a solid upgrade with better performance and lower power use. Also, while not cheap, it is a very good value relative to the newest generation of high-end GPUs.
