Great for 1970's sliding closet doors

This is a pretty durable product. It pretty much is contact paper and worked well for the project I had. I had old sliding closet doors in my hallway and it had the old vinyl on them. I put this on top of the doors vinyl and it's stuck very well. I would definitely recommend it for a similar project. I put some in some old cabinets and it's stuck, but not nearly as well as what it did on the vinyl. So I think it depends on the project and if this will work well or not.
