It is flexible but firm and long enough to work on any door. I think it would be very useful to keep dirt and pests from entering under a door.

I received product reimbursement in exchange for my honest review. This is a great gap filler for the bottom of the door. The drill holes are a bit sharp, so be careful handling to avoid cuts. The rubber sweep is thick and soft enough to flex and sweep but stiff enough to maintain its form. The rubber is wide enough to give protection to a significant gap, up to the advertised 3/4 inches. It's super easy to install and not only stops drafts but also small unwanted critters from crossing your threshold. I would purchase again if needed.
