I LOVE these chairs! They're super sturdy (like 500lb weight limit), but don't look like it and aren't heavy to move around. The seat cushions do NOT come attached and there are no holes at all drilled into the seat to attach them, so you'll need a drill to get through the hardwood seat - don't go too fast or you'll go through the seat cushion. I used a 1/8" bit for the #10 3/4" wood screws that came with it and it worked perfectly. The seat itself is a little on the small side for such a huge weight capacity, but it's perfect for our family. Definitely would not describe it as a "roomy" seat. The cushion is comfy, hopefully will be durable. The coffee cup cutout is adorable. The durability of the vinyl seat remains to be seen - it's plenty thick, but I could see it getting damaged maybe. Time will tell. If you're undecided, maybe choose the hardwood seats. But I LOVE them!
