J.B. Fox Appalachian Folk & Horror Colle The Children of the Unworthy: The Floating Boy of Appalachia, (Paperback)

A boy who floats above the trees. A family bred to see the dead. A faith that feeds on the forgotten.

In 1832 Appalachia, the Vales keep the unclaimed dead behind a white fence. The Fellowship believes those children belong to whoever will claim them.

Elias Vale was raised to look and not see. Then he finds him: a floating boy above the cedars, and suddenly Elias can hear everything his grandfather tried to bury.

Inside you will find:
► A haunted Appalachian ridge with a century of buried secrets
► A religious cult that steals the unmourned
► Twin sisters divided by a terrible bargain, one named Ruth
► A slow burn literary ghost story about family, guilt, and sight

What Abner did in the Tanner yard. What Garrity built in the cave. What Elias was made for.
