  • One ingredient, nothing else: 100% white sesame oil. No refining, no bleaching, no solvents, no preservatives, no blending. What the sesame seed had is what the bottle has.
  • Untoasted, so it cooks: This is the light, raw pressed sesame oil of India and the Middle East, not the dark toasted sesame oil used a few drops at a time in East Asian cooking. Mild, nutty and golden, it takes medium heat and goes in the pan as well as on the plate.
  • Wood pressed, slowly: Cleaned white sesame seeds are pressed in a wooden ghani at low speed, so the oil never heats up and keeps its warm golden color and soft, nutty aroma. Unfiltered, so a little sediment at the bottom is normal.
  • In the kitchen: Sauteing vegetables and tofu, dressings and tahini style sauces, drizzling over hummus and grain bowls, Indian podi and pickles, and a finishing oil for noodles and rice.
  • And for the body: The same food grade oil is the classic oil of abhyanga, the Ayurvedic daily self massage, and of oil pulling. Pressed in small batches in Ahmedabad, India, sealed in a BPA free PET bottle and shipped to the USA. Best before 6 months from packing.
