Great purchase

Great item! I've bought other kinds of mounts that always fall. This is sturdy with great range of motion. I drive over railroad tracks daily and it has stayed in place!

Solid, heavy, well built , many features

It has a lock and unlock on base. The metal alloy is heavy and stiff to move for weeks until used often. The center piece swivels completely around freely and can be lifted up and pushed down and tilted and stays quite well in any position which is why it is stiff to move. It comes with two magnetic rings for phone or pad. You have to unscrew the attachment to hold the ball and then re-screw it down to make it secure. Entire item is very well made. There is a rubber suction with adhesive attachment to the dash board. The screw over metal ball is plastic along with part that sits above ball and the rest is all metal.
