This blanket is very comfortable to use. it is soft gray on one side and white sherpa on the other. Im guessing it is filled with sand. It is heavy, very heavy. According to experts, a weighted blanket can help you feel and rest better. The heated control is a bright digital screen and can be detached if you don't want to use the heat control and cord. Definitely recommend purchasing this heated blanket. In my photo you can see it spread out on a king size bed.
