When pumping engine oil, flow rate may decrease as viscosity increases.For example, 0W-20 flows at 1 GPM, while 10W-40 has a lower flow rate of 0.1 GPM.Why should I change my oil myself?
It’s easy, mess-free, affordable, and saves a shop trip. Insert the suction tube into the dipstick tube, start the pump, and extract used oil into a container. Then replace the oil filter and refill with fresh oil—with no messy drain-plug spills.
What liquids can this pump handle?
Suitable for warm engine oil (0W-20, 5W-20, 5W-30, 10W-30, 10W-40), light gear oil (75W-80, 75W-90), and transmission fluid, including synthetic, conventional, high-mileage, and lawn mower 2-stroke oils.
(High-viscosity oils may pump more slowly.)
What should I do before using the pump?
Preheat the engine to 40–60°C before extracting old oil.
Cold oil is thick and hard to pump, which can cause the motor to draw excessive current and trigger the protection cut-off. Let the pump cool, then it will work normally
Why does the pump stop when exteracting oil?
The pump may stop if it is drawing the wrong fluid.
It can overheat or fail when used with cold, thick oil, or water. Please use compatible fluids only.
