Ingredients

Key item features

  • One ingredient, nothing else: 100% flaxseed oil. No refining, no bleaching, no solvents, no preservatives, no blending. What the flaxseed had is what the bottle has.
  • Wood pressed, slowly: Cleaned flaxseeds are pressed in a wooden ghani at low speed, so the oil never heats up. Flaxseed is one of the richest plant sources of omega 3 in the form of ALA, and the oil is bottled raw to keep it that way.
  • Never heated, never fried: A finishing oil. A spoon in a smoothie or over yogurt, into salad dressings, over boiled potatoes with cottage cheese or quark the Eastern European way, over steamed vegetables and grain bowls. It does not go in the pan.
  • What you will notice: A golden color, a fresh, grassy, faintly nutty smell when you open the cap, a light taste with a faint bitterness at the finish, and a little sediment at the bottom. All are signs of an unrefined, unfiltered wood pressed oil.
  • Keep it cool: Refrigerate after opening, capped tight and away from light. Best before 6 months from packing. Pressed in small batches in Ahmedabad, India, sealed in a BPA free PET bottle and shipped to the USA.
