Salomon Men's Quest 5 GTX Hiking Shoe, Dark Earth.Size:11.5,Color:Dark Earth

I bought my first pair of Salomon Quest GTX boots a decade ago. They quickly became my go to boot for pretty much everything. I work in them all day and appreciate the lighter weight and athletic fit compared to steel toe or more heavy-duty work boots. I work a mixture of indoors and outdoors so prefer a non-insulated boot where I can let my socks determine how warm I want my feet to be on any given day in any season. I've hiked 6,000+ ft. mountains in midwinter and hot, dry desert trails in the south. I've done some trail running and outdoor strength training. I've hung around the campsite and took naps in the woods - all in these boots. I also appreciate the speed lace system for quick on and off. I've owned several pairs of Quest 4 GTX boots back-to-back and they've been consistent in quality and fit. I've even purchased a pair or two in women's because I wanted a different color scheme that wasn't available in men's. I probably average 60 hours a week in my boots and I get a full year out of them. I will say they do slowly lose their waterproofing capabilities after the first 3 months or so of constant use. The insole also loses its cushioning capabilities after about 6 months. However, I find that to be common with other brands as well. They require very little break-in time for me personally. Overall, the Salomon Quest 5 GTX is my favorite boot and I've done pretty much everything in them!

The shoes are really comfortable and are fully waterproof and are extremely supportive for my ankles
