Artificial Sparrow Nest Set, 2 Clip On Birds with Rattan Nest and Faux Eggs, Realistic Feathered Ornaments for Tree and Wreath - Gray

A small nest set that adds a touch of the garden to a Christmas tree or a wreath. The set includes 2 sparrows, 1 nest and 3 eggs, with the sparrows moulded from moulded plastic and painted by hand so the feathers fall in the right direction rather than sitting flat like a print. Each bird carries a clip at the feet, which means it can be attached to a branch or a wreath without wire or tape, and it can be repositioned as the arrangement is built. The nest is woven in rattan, which gives it a texture the plastic birds do not have. The nest measures about 3.54 by 2.76 by 1.97 inches, the size of a small real nest, so the set reads as found rather than manufactured. Dust the birds with a soft brush and reshape the nest by hand if it has been flattened in storage. It works on a tree, a wreath, a planter or a shelf, and it also suits autumn and spring displays outside the holidays. Because the piece arrives ready to use, there is no assembly, no wiring and nothing extra to buy before it goes up. Materials were chosen to cope with normal household use, so the piece can come back out season after season. A quick wipe with a dry cloth is all the upkeep it needs; store it away from damp and direct sunlight and the colour will still look new next winter. Housewarmings, December birthdays and family swaps are all good reasons to keep a spare one on hand. The pair of sparrows is finished in a natural grey, which keeps the set tied to the rest of the display.
