Ice on Demand Without the Guesswork

I found this portable ice maker on Walmart.com, sold by the marketplace seller Xutumm, because my last one finally died. Right out of the box it looked clean and modern in the silver finish and had a little more weight to it than I expected which gave me some confidence it was not going to feel cheap. I was a little skeptical about the WiFi feature at first since that can sometimes be more hassle than help, but setup was straightforward and the app connected without much fuss. Once it got going it started dropping ice in about 6 minutes like advertised and just kept cycling, which is honestly pretty satisfying to watch through the clear lid, and being able to switch between two ice sizes is a nice touch depending on what I am filling. It has a self cleaning function which is great because my last one did not and cleaning it was a hassle. The automatic shutoff when the basket is full keeps it from overdoing it. I like that I can check on it or start a batch remotely, especially before having people over, and overall it feels like one of those small appliances that quietly becomes part of everyday life without needing much attention.
