Verified Purchase

After installing this purchase I was impressed with how easy the setup process was. In the beginning I had an issue with changing the password but was able to reset the unit to factory defaults and after that everything was golden. I am so grateful to have the added security of knowing that my safety is being recorded in case I need to show what actually happens instead of a dishonest careless driver. There have been too many road ragers out there for me to count and I felt it necessary to be able to show the true nature of my driving.

Camera with an amazing clarity!

I've been using the Vantrue Nexus 5 dash-cam from almost a year and I would say it does pretty well recording even at night mode with all clarity. I'm really happy with its motion detection feature that works perfect all the time. I'm going to buy another one soon for my next vehicle.

Excellent dashcam equipment - Nexus 5

Superb unit. However - even with the hardwire kit - set to 12v protection. The battery on my brand new car went dead - after 15 hours, because of motion detection. I therefore think motion detection is not required as a feature. I've disabled it - and everything else is great!!!
