R-Alpha lipoic acid is the natural version of regular Alpha Lipoic Acid (S-ALA). This product is non GMO. The packet provides 40 servings or 3 gel caps a day. I will be using these up first because they might expire more quickly than shelf stable versions. No odor, no rancid smell—only fresh product.
