This new sewing machine would be great for beginners, casual hobbyists, and those needing a lightweight travel backup machine for basic alterations. It runs on 4 AA batteries or AC plug so no worries. I am a beginner so at first I was worried about the setup. It comes already setup pre threaded %26 ready to use! The markings on this machine make it easy to retread or change colors. Its comfortable %26 easy to maneuver on every fabric so far. I plan on buying more %26 giving as Holiday gifts.
