Its 1.5 gallons so instead of filling up a big bowl 2x a day, I fill this every 3 days. So much easier on me. So I love this water feeder I have it out side on my patio and I refill it from the hose unless I need to clean it. It holds really well its easy to clean. My dogs love it and it allows me to have water outside for them when they are playing in the yard. Or they go out for the bathroom. I also have one in the house and one in the florida room.
