Actually like these. When I first opened the package and realized they are kind of plastic-like, I was worried it would seem like plastic diaper covers of the old days - BUT! Pleasantly surprised, they are soft, even when my actual pillowcase peels back and my face touches the cover, it is not a sticky plastic at all but soft and pliable, and very fabric feeling. I do really like them and am buying more to replace my old, worn out, broken zipper, yellowed pillow covers. I cannot speak regarding the water proof aspect. Definitely recommend!
