Instructions are absolutely horrible!

I was beyond super excited to receive this DIY crochet kit. But the instructions are killing me!! There is no rhyme or reason to them. There's no making anything of it, for me as a semi amateur. I'm hoping my aunt who loves to crochet can make it work for me... or help me decipher the instructions. I do want to complete this and wear it badly. I just think they set you up for failure. They do supply all that you need to finish the project though, which is nice.
