(2 pack) Philips Sonicare 6400 Series Electric Toothbrush - Next-Generation Sonicare Technology, Pressure Sensor, 9 Brushing Settings, Smartimer, Brushpacer, Replacement Reminder, 21-Day Runtime, HX7410/04

This is a cool piece of tech. The companion app helps you keep track of your flossing, mouthwash, and tongue scraping. It also reliably connects with the toothbrush when you have the app open and you can start brushing without tapping on the "brush now" button! It'll pull up the two minute timer automatically, but you can also click on it if you prefer. The brushing too hard LED indicator ring on the bottom of the brush is neat, but I don't apply that much pressure to begin with so it barely ever turns on for me. 😂 Still a very nice to have feature. The brush heads last around three months at 2x a day or 180 total uses of the brush head itself and I understand the concept behind keeping the bristles in tip top shape, but they're pretty expensive to replace at around $35 for a two pack. 😅 It'd be a no brainer at $10, but testing, R%26D, marketing, manufacturing, logistics, maintaining profitability... All of that probably plays its part in making it cost as much as eating out for a night, but then you're set for the next six months. 😂 So really it's not horrible and honestly I probably wasn't replacing my manual toothbrush as often as I should've been... 🤔 The light up charging dock is also quite enjoyable and gives me a bit of joy every time I put down the brush and it does its little "beep-beep" noise and handle light check. Overall it's very well engineered, thoughtfully designed, and the whole experience feels like futuristic whimsy. Creating a Philips account, registration, and actually logging into the app initially though is a total waking nightmare, but once you get past that headache, it works flawlessly! It also doesn't come with a USB-A wall outlet plug for the charging dock, but thankfully I already had one and that's probably the assumption or that the end user has updated their outlets to the kind that have inbuilt USB ports... No idea, not a big deal, just odd, and the box does inform you of this. I didn't take note, so I just found it a strange omission. 😅
