3.7-It took about 4 hours (1 person for 3 hours and 2 for the additional hour) to put together. Some steps towards the end were backwards (would've been difficult if we put them together in order) so read through all directions before starting. It's Sauder quality (locking cams) so I recommend finishing the build where it's going to be located. The more you move it, the more the cams loosen and the interior unit becomes less stable. The actual motor and elevating desktop is pretty good. But I find it doesn't hold my preset heights. It's not as sturdy as I thought it would be but it does its job for the price. The drawer space gets lost because the post goes right down the middle. But, I consider that a secret compartment. It probably would've worked better if the post was put towards the back of the drawers and braces were put towards the front of the desktop. The inside of the drawers are really shallow. I thought I would've been able to use the bottom drawers as filing cabinets but NO. They're not even big enough to fit a piece of paper in on the bottom. Like I said, much wasted space. There is space on the top of both pedestals. I store my personal laptop there. The outlets on the desktop are great however, they could've added less plugs and more USB A %26 C outlets instead also, a cord management tray in the back of the desktop would've been great. Honestly, I wouldn't buy this again. I would've just bought a regular rolling filing cabinet for my existing glass top electronic standing desk and save the money. Even though it was on clearance.
