Fittington Hiking Boots for Men Wide Width Slip Resistant Trekking and Hiking Shoes Ankle-High Outdoor Shoes 12.5 Wide

absolutely love these!.. ordered a second pair! quick disclosure- i did swap the factory insoles for a pair of dr scholls as a personal preference and i haven't walked/hiked with the shoes with the factory insoles. that being said, really happy with the shoes! bought these to help resolve an achilles tendon issue and plantar fasciitis tenderness i've been dealing with from other shoes/brands. so far, these have been great! hiked around vegas and parts of red rock outside of vegas for four days and was comfortable the whole time. the traction on the dirt, gravel and rocky terrain at the park was absolutely fantastic! no slipping on the trails was encountered at any time. steep uphills and downhills, no issues at all. my buddy, wearing his expensive big name brand hiking shoes had multiple slips while i had full control. didn't have any issues with comfort and could have hiked longer/farther than i did. i didn't encounter any issues with feeling rocks or gravel through the soles. some boots and shoes i have the rocks and gravel feel like they're punching through into my foot lol. none of that with these (again, i did have dr scholls insoles so i can't attest to the factory insoles). i was also really happy with the grip on wet surfaces in the city. it rained pretty heavily on two two days/nights and i didn't have any issues on wet tile, sidewalks, stairs, parking garage and even streets. the shoes do run big, i do prefer that so for potential buyers, you may want to order a size smaller if you you don't like extra toe room. the wider width is also really nice. all in all, very happy with the shoes and look forward to my next hike.
