Great Mount for Posts, Columns, or Poles

I needed a sturdy way to mount our heavy (~39 lbs) 55" tv on our back patio cover post. This looked to fit the bill so I got it. The instructions say you should have two people to attach the base to your post/column but I was able to do it by myself. If you have a helper available, even better. Otherwise, the base installs to the post/column simply with ratchet straps . It makes a surprisingly sturdy attachment as the metal base has articulating metal feet with rubber pads on them for traction. You attach the other half to the back of your TV like any other TV mount and it supports a wide variety of bolt patterns/sizes. Once both pieces are installed, you simply lift your TV up and hook it onto the base attached to your post/column. Two screws then go in to secure the TV to the base in case of wind, etc. With this arrangement, I'm able to face my TV in two (of many) orientations, 180 degrees from each other to suit our viewing positions. Very crafty idea and a solid solution for this particular mounting requirement.
