This is a much more sophisticated dash cam system than the basic units I've researched. The package is unusually complete, with front and rear cameras, connecting cables, hardwire kit, CPL filter and installation accessories. What I appreciate most is that both the front and rear cameras record at 2.5K resolution rather than putting the best camera in front and treating the rear as an afterthought. Both cams use Sony STARVIS 2 sensors, with HDR designed to preserve detail in less optimal lighting. There is an impressive amount of capability built into this system. It has GPS, 5GHz Wi-Fi, support for large-capacity microSD cards and Vueroid's Infinite Plate Capture technology for improving license-plate visibility. Settings and recordings can also be managed through the companion software. Parking surveillance is particularly well thought out. When hardwired, there are several parking-monitoring options, including an extreme-low-power standby mode that uses very little vehicle-battery power while remaining ready to record an impact. Battery-voltage protection is also built in, and parking monitoring can even be configured around designated GPS locations. This isn't a bare-bones camera with two or three settings. There is quite a bit here to configure if you want to take full advantage of all the features, which I consider a strength as it allows the system to be tailored to the vehicle and type of monitoring you need. (I went full throttle.) Between the dual 2.5K cameras, Sony sensors, extensive parking features and unusually complete installation package, this feels like a serious dash cam system rather than another generic camera with an impressive-looking spec sheet.
