Looking for a running hat with better coverage and great breathability for summer running. This hat is lightweight, breathes well, has great coverage, and the wire in the articulated front half of the brim allows for desired positioning and cuts down on brim flopping. It's not wind-proof, as a good gust will still blow the brim around, but I'm really happy with the product. I don't see a UPF rating for the crown of the hat, people without hair might see that as a negative, as it is somewhat translucent in white. There is a reflective pad in the top of the crown that is removable, for extra sun protection or for soaking/cooling. I'm happy with my purchase. The brim has an oval shape to it, and I think Salomon could provide better product pictures and brim dimensions to illustrate the size and shape.

I ordered this to run my first 50k. There's plenty of space for ice which I did not need since the hat felt like it did a great job of releasing heat in my head and blocking out all the sun heat. I cinched it a little and never noticed it bounce even in fast paced. You will notice when the wind is blowing though but the brim has rigidity to it and you can do position it Up or Down.
