These applicators are great for getting product on your scalp and not your hair. It takes care of the massaging and rubbing. They're less messier and wasteful than other methods I've tried. This is the second applicator I ever purchased. The first one cost twice as much as this one. They both do the same thing. I made the mistake of ordering the white one. I should have ordered the clear. It's difficult to see if all the product is out of the applicator until you set it upside down or open it. I didn't like that it held the water after washing and allowing it to air dry upside down. I just happened to notice the next time I was going to use it that there was still a little water in one of the rollerball teeth. When I rubbed it over a paper towel, it looked like all of the rollerballs was holding water. Other than that, it still works well. I just have to remember to take that extra step.
