We discovered we needed to use magnets (not mentioned in the instructions) to get the screws to line up just right with adjacent holes so we could secure the fasteners. Otherwise it would have been impossible to assemble.

Looks just like the picture. Very easy to assemble. Solid enough for a baby/toddler. I would not let big kids jump or get in the bed to play. For the price, the bed is absolutely perfect. Not heirloom quality (not heirloom price). This baby bed should work/last perfectly for the baby/toddler years. Mom should buy one and Grandmother should get one too. Cheap enough to have one in the bedroom and one in the living room. We are very content with this product.
