Geeni Smart Wi-Fi Plug with App & Voice Control, 20W USB-A & USB-C Fast Charging, White

I have numerous smart outlets and lights around the house but this is the first outlet I've noticed that has switchable USB sockets as well. Personally I would have preferred both of them to be USB C sockets but I realize that there are quite a few devices still around that require a USB A socket to plug into, fortunately I have a drawer with a few A-C adapters in it. The installation was pretty easy, although the app refused to recognize the installed device until I had quit out of it then restarted it, then the app saw it fine. Pic of the device plugged into my desktop outlet where I set up my smart devices before installing them in the desired room. I also appreciate that the device when installed in a normal wall outlet will allow the other outle in the wall socket to be used also. Setting up Alexa to work with it was a bit of a pain, as it normally is with new skills for non Amazon devices, and I had to make a few attempts at renaming the charger and the outlet to get them to be recognized properly and individually. Once that was done it worked excellently, both from the Geeni app and Alexa with commands spoken to my Echo Dots. There is a timer function in the Greeni app which I may make use of. I'm not a fan of leaving chargers plugged in 24/7 and so I may well setup a charge time for my USB devices overnight with the charger coming on for 4 hours and then shutting off. All I have to do now is to figure out how to make myself remember to connect the devices to the charging cord in the first place! No disappointments with this item - 5 stars.
