HP Essential 17.3" FHD Laptop, AMD Ryzen 5 7430U, 8GB RAM, 256GB SSD, Windows 11 Home, Silver

I love this machine. Screen size is great and it is easy to use, especially with the touch screen. I also bought a cooling pad to put under it and it is adjustable and makes typing and viewing the screen much easier. Great price. Thanks.

Okay folks, the verdict is in and I advising y'all in and most helpful and friendly manner, stop buying the 'NO NAME' computer sink holes that Big Tech and Big Business is forcing down our throats by virtue of using the almighty price-point to pressure. The 1st unit I bought, I did (3) times and each of those were light-weight plastic paper weights, nothing more. I had to plug my A/C adapter in on a 33% angle, not straight and perpendicular, I had to find a way to place my hands on the frame b/c the mouse controller was so overly sized and sensitive, even a wisp from my hands over that spot caused my cursor to disappear and yet another wouldn't stay on over 2 hours. (No-Name) Tech On Wednesday and for $447.00 more out of my pocket, I found a low end HP Essential, 17.3" lapper, 8GB Ram-256GB SSDE. Ryzen Core, a decent length A/C cord, but no dustcover in a cardboard box. And yeah, it is 100% Made in "Somewhere" plastic. I'm not a stickler mind you, but I do want what I at least was led to believe as a competitive deal with a top quality unit and best parts. That was a plastic box, when I asked the manufacturer name, I was told it had none (BUT)I would recognize all the parts manufacturers. True I did. but then I asked if these parts were contractual individual purchases or just an en-masse purchase, meaning anything from top-notch to low end barely functioning parts could find they're way into your computer. And yes, the parts were branded but from every valuation in the Mfg. process. I must say I am relatively happy with this HP which was my very 1st unit 30 years ago. My point in all this is that we Consumers in this nation, work diligently 40-60 hours each and every week. We have a government in charge that is steadily removing consumer protections designed to protect us. You have got to get schooled on your own time for your own protection because the "white lie" scams are out there and not prosecutable.
